Role of the Platform

Compare Cosmetic is an online marketplace that enables users to discover, compare, and book aesthetic services with independent clinics, prescribers, and practitioners. We are not a healthcare provider, clinic, or prescriber and do not provide medical advice or treatment. All medical and aesthetic treatments booked via the Platform are delivered by independent third-party professionals who are responsible for maintaining any required registrations with UK regulatory bodies (such as the GMC, NMC, or GPhC).

No Medical Endorsement

The listing of any practitioner or clinic on Compare Cosmetic does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of their services. Users are encouraged to perform their own due diligence prior to treatment or any services found through this platform.

Prescription Medicines (POMs)

Some services listed on the platform involve the use of Prescription-Only Medicines (POMs), such as botulinum toxin. These treatments require a separate consultation and clinical assessment by a registered prescriber. The decision to prescribe any medication rests solely with the prescriber and Compare Cosmetic has no influence or involvement in this process and does not conduct prescribing assessments, determine patient suitability, or supply prescription medicines.

User Responsibility

Users acknowledge that any decisions made regarding treatment are made at their own risk and discretion, in consultation with a qualified professional. Users are responsible for providing truthful medical history and disclosing any contraindications.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compare Cosmetic will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, injury, or adverse outcome arising from:

• Treatments or clinical services provided by independent listed clinics or practitioners
• Clinical advice or care given before, during or after a booking
• Delays, cancellations, or dissatisfaction with a booked service or third-party services.

Where liability arises solely in connection with padi platform services, to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall be limited to the amount paid by the user to the platform for the relevant booking.

Insurance

All independent practitioners using the Platform are required under our terms to maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance. Compare Cosmetic does not provide insurance and does not guarantee the scope or validity of any practitioner’s coverage. In the event of a dispute, claim, or injury, the independent practitioner’s own insurance will apply.

Cancellation & Disputes

Each clinic/practitioner/service provider sets its own cancellation and refund policies. All disputes must first be directed to the clinic or practitioner or service provider. Where appropriate, the platform may assist in facilitating communication or mediation, but is not responsible for enforcing any clinical or contractual outcomes.

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
